Privacy

Your information

This is a small website for one artist. It collects as little as it can, uses it only for the reason you gave it, and never sells or shares it for marketing. If anything here is unclear, email Jacksonfiona16@gmail.com.

Who is responsible

Fiona Jackson, based in Ireland, is responsible for the information collected through fionajacksonart.com. Contact: Jacksonfiona16@gmail.com.

Enquiries

When you use the form on the Commissions page, your name, email address and message are sent to Fiona Jackson so she can reply. The form is handled by Netlify, which hosts this website. Enquiries are kept only as long as they're useful for the conversation, and you can ask for yours to be deleted at any time.

The newsletter

If you sign up, your email address and the interests you tick (paintings, poems, events) are stored with MailerLite, the service that sends the newsletter. You'll get one email asking you to confirm before anything else is sent. After that you'll receive occasional letters about new work and events — and nothing else.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list. MailerLite records whether an email was opened or a link clicked, which helps keep the letters worth reading; you can also simply reply and ask to be removed.

What this site doesn't do

No advertising, no tracking pixels and no analytics cookies. The site uses fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, which sees your IP address as part of that request. The homepage remembers which poem it last showed you, in your own browser only, so it can show a different one next time; it never leaves your device.

Your rights

Under data protection law (GDPR) you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time. Email Jacksonfiona16@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
